Patch 6.1 Released — November 21, 2023

A hotfix for New Game Plus, and a few other issues, is out in Patch 6.1. Full patch notes have been backed up here.

Echollector Update and Free Trial — November 16, 2023

Patch 6, more commonly known as the Echollector Update, is out! It adds the eponymous Echollector, New Game+, a harder difficulty mode, and other fixes. Full patch notes have been backed up here.

On top of that, a *free trial* is now available on PS5, Xbox Series S and X, and Steam. If you play the trial and choose to purchase the game, make sure you click the link in the in-game popup for a huge discount.

Ascendant Studios at Unreal Fest — October 3, 2023

Unreal Fest features two appearances by the Ascendant Studios team this year. Julia Lichtblau, Associate Art Director, spoke as part of the keynote speech, and the team also had a panel dedicated to shipping an AAA game on Unreal 5.1. Update #5 is out — September 26, 2023

Update number 5 is out today for all platforms. There are some bug fixes called out, but the big addition is AMD's FSR3 upscaling technology. Immortals is one of the first two games to feature this tech, which promises significant framerate improvements. Full patch notes have been backed up here.

Update #4 is out — September 26, 2023

Update 4 has dropped on all platforms. This one's pretty small, focusing on graphics quality. Full patch notes have been backed up here.

Update #3 is out — September 11, 2023

Update 3 is released for all platforms. It features fixes to DLSS on PC as well as other performance and visual updates. Full patch notes have been backed up here.

Update #2 is out — September 1, 2023

Update 2 has come out for all platforms. Like with the first patch, there are a ton of fixes and improvements in this one. The patch notes are backed up here.

Immortals of Aveum released! — August 23, 2023

Immortals of Aveum is out in the wild! Along with the main game comes the Day One patch, the patch notes for which have been archived here.

Dev Team Ask Me Anything — July 7, 2023

R/Games hosted an AMA today with game director Bret, lead combat designer Jason, and asscosiate art director Julia. They answered questions about gameplay, game inspirations, and ascesibility among other things. We've backed it up in our Articles section.

Extended Colossal Mission Gameplay at IGN — June 8, 2023

IGN has revealed an extended cut of the Colossal mission showcased at SGF. It shows a bit more of the story as well as the boss battle with none other than Sandrakk. Watch it here

Gameplay Trailer #2 at Summer Game Fest — June 8, 2023

A new gameplay trailer was shown today as part of Summer Game Fest. It showcases a bit more about the story, alongside what looks like late game combat and additional Fury spells. You can watch it here on YouTube.

Preview Event Embargo Lifted — May 31, 2023

The embargo event from last week's preview event dropped today, bringing with it many video and articles about Immortals of Aveum. Our Articles section links to many of them.

Hands-on Preview Event — May 25, 2023

Electronic Arts held a large preview event for Immortals of Aveum today at their Redwood Shores headquarters. Judging by the photos, dozens of press and influencer were invited. We expect to see their impressions soon.
