The Binding Stone, or Thrada-Kul, is a powerful ancient artifact that Sandrakk somehow got his hands on. He can use it to absorb the Great Fonts, conduits that bring magic from the Shrouded Realm into our world. If he absorbs all the Fonts, Kirkan thinks Sandrakk can control all the magic in Aveum. Then it's game over.

I did it. We have the Binding Stone now. It's full of the power of nearly all of the Great Fonts. We could use it to end the war tomorrow but Kirkan doesn't trust it. Or me. She'd rather risk an all out push at the Front now that Rasharn is leaderless. Nothing I say will change her mind.
