Unfortunately, shortly after Akoth's death, Oremen was subjected to The Gatterond-- a magical disaster that killed hundreds of thousands of citizens and reshaped the topography of the land forever. After the disaster, and despite rumors in Lucium that the Gatterond had been caused by Akoth's ideas of shared magic, the Oremic survivors built the Library of Akoth and Institute of Cultural Equality. Dedicated to Akoth's goal of a shared distribution of magic, the Library leveraged a group of enchanted Chroniclers to research additional solutions for returning spellcasting abilities to all citizens of Aveum.
