The original foundations of this fortress date back to ancient times, far before even the rise of the Empire of Aristeya. Over the millennia, the tower's changed hands a few times, and many architects have added to its stone chambers and hallways. The Lightless say that some kind of artifact is hidden within one of its many basements, a device that allows the fortress to float among the clouds.

Sandrakk's assault on the Palathon ended with his absorbing of the last Font. With its source of power gone, the Palathon started to fall. The Path itself began to dissolve. Then everything went black, but Luna saved me from the Palathon's destruction.
