The working theory is that the leylodons-- those weird corruption worm things-- were once healthy leylines. That they've been warped from exposure to depleted magic and the collective unconscious horror of the Everwar. That sounds a bit much, but the main thing is that they nest in patches of corruption, they're terrible, and it's part of my job to exterminate them.
