From Aveum Wiki
There are two types of obtainable lore objects in Immortals of Aveum. Journals from Jak's viewpoint unlock automatically as you play through the game, and are sorted into five categories: Enemies, History, Magic, People, and World. There is also a sixth section, Texts, which are unlocked when you find scrolls, books, letters, and slates in the world.
This section sorts the automatic entries by their category, and the Texts by their location. Some of these journals are updated as the story of the game unfolds.

Texts
Unlike the journal entries in the other categories, Texts have to be picked up in the world to have them added to your journal. While most are available for the entire game, some are added or removed as the story progresses.
